Dear all,
Thank you for your patience while I was experiencing some sort of terror flu, that in the core, lasted a week, but to be honest is still not completely over.
Fortunately, it has now turned into a version that is letting me function more vertically instead of only horizontally. I can cook a decent meal, I can do laundry, I can walk in the park and I can take the train and visit my BF. I’m telling you I am no longer (at least for a while) taking these things a 100% for granted after feeling that miserable. I’m back!
Enough about the flu. To catch up on news about my journey to new work, there is a before and an after the flu and everything that happened in January.
Before the flu
I had some lovey coffee dates where we did some serious yapping. I learned some useful new insights. I cannot share everything here, but let’s say I am going to allow myself to be a better listener and take more notes.
Besides having coffee I applied for two jobs / assignments so far and got rejected twice. That is okay, I’m going to keep doing it, if only for practice. For one of the jobs I got a standard written rejection that didn’t really help me in the process of looking for work, so I decided to ask for a more personal and detailed explanation. And I got it! Proud of myself for not letting that one go, because it gave me instant new insights about what type of jobs I should and should not apply for. Learning by applying it is!

After the flu
Well, I’m not sure if ‘the after’ has already started but I’m declaring it officially open. Only one more day to go in January while I’m writing this. OMG we almost made it through January!
In the past couple of days I have worked on my website with a serious hyper focus and that is giving me great energy and inspiration. I cannot wait to show it to you asap and from that moment on to put all my future writing and other work on there.
Meanwhile, bear with me while I work my *ss off and try to keep motivated. There is one thing you can do for me to help me stay motivated, informed and inspired: give me a comment or a like, talk to me on LinkedIn or, maybe the best option: have a coffee with me!
Spots for new coffee dates in February are available. Hope to see you soon!
